One Crust Fruit Pie

INGREDIENTS
1 stick margarine or butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 ¼ tsp. cinnamon (or other spices to suit the fruit)
peeled and cut fruit
Lightly grease a glass pie plate. Fill the pie plate with the fruit. In a
medium saucepan, melt the butter and remove from heat. Stir in
remaining ingredients. Pour batter evenly over the fruit. Bake at
350° F for about 1 hour; crust will be golden.
Some combinations: apples & cinnamon; peaches & nutmeg, cinnamon
and ginger; pears, cranberries, and ginger. This recipe looks
great, tastes fabulous, and only uses a pie plate and a saucepan –
very few dirty dishes!!
