Sixty Years of North American Prints
The Boston Printmakers Anniversary Exhibition Schedule
This two-part Anniversary Show celebrates the 60th Anniversary of The Boston Printmakers.
It will highlight the work of local, national and international printmakers and share The Boston
Printmakers’ goals of educating the public and its young artists about the field of printmaking
since 1947. A representation of award-winning prints and purchases from The Boston Printmakers’
exhibitions over the past sixty years have been selected by David Acton, Curator of Prints at the
Worcester Art Museum and exhibited in two venues. Each location will host a theme. At the Boston
University Art Gallery, Collecting from The Boston Printmakers are prints purchased by individual
patrons and organizations, (some of which have found their way into public collections) while the
Public Collections theme at the Art Complex Museum features prize-winners from the North
American Print Exhibitions that were given as gifts by The Boston Printmakers to various museums
during the past 60 years.
